My 1988 Ford F-150 was involved in an accident. It has been repaired but now the engine is stalling.?
The truck was involved in a collision. The body has been repaired and now the engine stalling and will not start at times. Some say it is the fuel pump but when I checked it, the fuel relay was not kicking in, but the power relay was. I jumpered the fuel relay and the fuel pump came on, but it still would not start. I was thinking the EEC module was going bad but after looking at the wiring diagram, the fuel relay does not go through the EEC. I am thinking it is an electrical problem but I want your input on what the problem might be before I start in depth troubleshooting. I have checked the inertia fuel shut off switch and it is not the problem. Also I was told by someone that this truck has 2 fuel pumps, one on the frame and the other in the tank. According to the diagram, there is only one pump and it is on the frame rail. This truck has only one tank where most F-150′s this year have 2 tanks and there are 2 pumps in those, one for each tank. 1992 ford mustang not getting power to the fuel injectors is there a fuse or relay that i can check.?
fuel switch in truck hasen’t trip. fuel filter has been replaced. fuel is getting up to the rail. i am getting major spark but car won’t start . injectors are being clean every year with bg 44k so injectors should be ok. car started 4 times that day then just stoped. car does fire when starting fluid is sprayed in to throttle body but dies as soon as it burns off. i see it highly impossible that all the injecors being pluged all at once so im thinking electrical. i wiggled the harness that attaches to the injectors and still nothing please help this is my only tranportation to and from work
